What to do when the shoes & socks are off!
#1 Ask yourself the hard question: What is my foot status?
Ready for beautiful summer feet? First of all, start with inspecting your feet (including your toenails & under the soles). Foot care treatment for beautiful feet and nails for summer needs to start now.
Are your toenails ready for summer? If your toenails are yellow or thick, you may have toenail fungus that should be treated. Find a podiatrist at https://apma.org. Typically cut your toenails straight across & make sure edges aren't digging into the corners. Finally, If you have ingrown toenails it's another reason to see a podiatrist to have treatment before summer. Procedures that remove the painful nail edges permanently can get rid of persistent pain & infection.
#3 Buy a new foot cream that works.
Next, do you have soft feet or are your heels dry & cracked? The foot cream I use this spring that softens dry foot skin quickly is Ahava Dermud Intensive foot cream. This was a birthday gift from my daughter, and turns out I am a fan. If your feet are still dry after using foot cream daily for a week, see your podiatrist because sometimes athlete's foot / fungal infection can keep your feet dry & should be treated with a prescription or over the counter anti fungal.
#5 Pamper with a safe pedicure!
Finally, get a pampering pedicure to make your tired feet summer ready! Always have your nail salon spa pedicure done where priority is safety and cleanliness. Next, make certain the soaking basins are vigorously cleaned between every client, stainless tools are sterilized & single use files, pumices, & buffers are standard. Finally, do not allow burrs / grinders to be used unless the tips are sterilized. Nail fungus, viral warts & bacterial infections all can be transmitted easily if cleanliness & nail salon safety aren't prioritized.
